Big Changes at the Manhattan Store

New York City's finest comic shop just keeps getting better!

Those who have visited our Manhattan location have noticed a bunch of changes in the past few days. Firstly, the reconstruction of the front of the building is finally beginning to wrap up, and should be completed by next week. Soon you will all be able to see our gorgeous new facade and sign.

While the front of the store is in flux, we decided to slightly reorganize the retail space, and some exciting changes are underway. We've removed the back issue bins from the middle of the store (no worries - back issues shall return in a new spot next week), and are in the process of reorganizing the location of the kids, Drawn & Quarterly, mini-comics, and Manga sections.

By next week, JHU Manhattan will be an all-new store, with an even more open environment and even more intuitive organization! So stick with us - New York City's finest comic shop just keeps getting better!

Watchmen Director's Cut and NEW Green Lantern Movie Coming to JHU!

Coming to Jim Hanley's Universe June 21 is the highly anticipated Director's Cut of Watchmen on DVD and Blu-Ray! The Director's Cut is nearly a half hour longer and contains a ton of special features to fully immerse you in the making of this historic movie! Those with Blu-Ray players should get the Blu-Ray disc as it contains an added bonus - the new "Maximum Movie Mode," which plays the movie along with a video presentation by director Zack Snyder, and includes behind-the-scenes footage, comic comparisons, trivia, and more! Why go out of your way to a DVD store when you can come to Jim Hanley's Universe on the disc's national release date - Tuesday, June 21!



2009 is undeniably Green Lantern's year - the critically acclaimed and red-hot Blackest Night just hit the stands, solid plans have been announced for a live-action Green Lantern movie coming in 2011, and on top of all of that, Green Lantern: First Flight, a brand new animated epic from Warner Premier and Warner Bros Animation, is coming out on DVD and Blu-Ray to Jim Hanley's Universe on Tuesday, June 28! Be the first to own this eagerly awaited new film from the makers of Wonder Woman (in stock in both DVD and Blu-Ray) and Batman: Gotham Knight!
